Proton Pack

Inspired by the 1984 movie classic Ghostbusters, this Proton Pack was created mostly out of foamcore and PVC plumbing parts. A napkin-sketch was created from memory and later fleshed out into a more conceived design. After the basic shapes were assembled, detail components like tubing and knobs were attached. All surfaces received multiple coats of matte black paint. To mimic the cyclotron, reflective aluminum tape and heavy red vellum were used to create an internal backlit cavern. Lights, switches, and decals were added to create a more operational look. Finally, a flexible EVA foam holster was fashioned and attached to hold the proton gun.
