Arcade Cabinet

Nicknamed the Natando, this arcade cabinet was created for gaming wizard, Natan Cohen. I was supplied with a 4:3 monitor, 2-player joystick controller, computer, and speaker set. The final design was retro-inspired and conscious effort was taken to minimize the overall footprint. Construction was primarily 3/4" fin-ply with a plexiglass screen protector and steel monitor mount. Client needed access to a keyboard and mouse, so a pullout tray was hidden below the joysticks when not in use. Door panels allow access to each cavity within the cabinet, including the speaker header, wiring system, monitor mount, computer containment area, and sub woofer. The cabinet was finished with a white paint, protective high-gloss clear coat, and a custom-designed “Natando” vinyl decal.
